Prometheus Group Enterprises LLC, a Raleigh-based asset management software company, announced Friday that it acquired U.K.-based Engica Technology Systems International Limited.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The company said in a press release that Prometheus Group will incorporate Engica’s “environmental, health and safety solutions” into its software.

Engica, based in Gateshead, provides companies with software for maintenance and safety management. The company has a U.S. headquarters in Houston, Texas.

Prometheus Group is a global provider of plant maintenance operations and optimization software. This acquisition will increase its scale in the U.K., the company said in the press release.

Prometheus Group Chief Executive Officer Eric Huang said the company will be able to offer customers additional capabilities, including incident management.

“This acquisition further supports our mission to create a safer environment for all of our customers,” Huang said in a statement.

Earlier this year, San Francisco-based private equity firm Genstar Capital LP bought Prometheus Group for over $1 billion.
