Charlotte-based MapAnything announced Wednesday it will be acquired by Salesforce, a California-based customer service management company.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

MapAnything integrates map-based visualization, asset tracking, and route optimization to drive efficiency for field sales and service teams and deliver a better customer experience.

“The addition of MapAnything to Salesforce will help the world’s leading brands accurately plan,” Salesforce wrote.

MapAnything was founded in 2009 and currently has over 2,100 customers and over 150+ employees globally. According to MarketWatch, the startup has raised more than $84 million.

Salesforce Ventures — Salesforce’s corporate investment group — is listed as an investor on MapAnything’s website.

“Salesforce’s pending acquisition of MapAnything comes at a critical time for brands. Customer Experience is rapidly overtaking price as the leading reason companies win in the market,” John Stewart, CEO, and Co-Founder of MapAnything, wrote in a release.

Salesforce closed Thursday at $155.99 per share, up 65 cents.
