Jeld-Wen Holding Inc. announced Monday it has agreed to acquire vinyl window manufacturer VPI Quality Windows Inc. for an undisclosed amount.

Jeld-Wen expects the transaction to close late in the first quarter of 2019.

Jeld-Wen expects VPI to add approximately $60 million in revenue to its business and that the acquisition will be immediately accretive to both adjusted earnings per share and adjusted EBITDA margins.

Jeld-Wen is one of the world’s largest door and window manufacturers. It is headquartered in Charlotte, but has manufacturing facilities in 20 countries located primarily in North America, Europe and Australia.

VPI specializes in customized window solutions for mid-rise, mid-family, institutional, hospitality and commercial projects, mostly in the western United States.

“VPI will provide Jeld-Wen with a foundation for growth in the multi-family window market, providing us with a premier product and brand in the segment. We believe that VPI’s capabilities and service model, combined with Jeld-Wen’s national distribution footprint, will provide significant growth potential,” said Jeld-Wen CEO Gary Michel.

VPI Quality Windows is based in Spokane, Washington, and has been under its current ownership since 1993. It also has a manufacturing facility in Beaverton, Oregon.
