Team Manufacturing has been acquired by East West Manufacturing LLC in Atlanta for an undisclosed amount, according to Monday’s press release.

Durham-based Team, a company that specializes in electronics manufacturing, wire harness assembly and box-build services, was founded in 2002. By acquiring the company, East West hopes to grow its company and focus on developing electronics capabilities and U.S. manufacturing operations.

The Atlanta-based East West specializes in design services and serves as a global contract manufacturing partner for original equipment manufacturers and distributors in the United States and Europe.

The company also has operations in Vietnam, China and India.

“We found the perfect partner with Team to expand our manufacturing presence into the US,” said Scott Ellyson, East West co-founder and CEO in a statement. “Team has a great reputation for serving its customers. This acquisition allows us to offer our customers domestic, higher mix, lower volume, quick turn electronic manufacturing services.”

With East West’s international presence and Team’s domestic capabilities, Alex Mammen, Heritage Growth Partners founder and East West board member, said he expects to combination to result to gain significant market share.
