NASCAR engine and body part builder Triad Racing Technologies is selling its race engine-making business.

The company will partner with Boston-based Gordon Brothers to sell all assets associated with Triad’s race engine shop in Mooresville, North ZCarolina.

Gordon Brothers, who announced the sale Monday, is an advisory firm for other companies.

The engine-making division is one of the primary aspects of Triad’s business, but CEO Marty Gaunt said in the announcement the company intends to continue its other NASCAR-focused operations.

“We’re proud of our track record in NASCAR and the success of our clients over the years,” Gaunt said. “The sale of our engine facility will allow us to concentrate on our body parts business and continue to support our racing clients going forward.”

Triad is a primary vendor to Toyota Racing Development in equipment for its NASCAR race cars. Since 2004, the company has directly contributed to 10 NASCAR manufacturer championships and five driver championships.

“This is a very unique opportunity for anyone looking to purchase a turnkey engine shop located in the heart of the professional racing community, in addition to complete engines,” said Jim Burke, director of Gordon Brothers’ commercial and industrial division.
