Former Consultant to Help Strengthen Counsel Regarding Distributed Ledger Technology

Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP announced today that Catherine Yoon has joined its Financial Services practice group in New York as special counsel to focus on helping clients better understand and leverage blockchain and other forms of distributed ledger technology.

“Cathy is well known in the blockchain industry. She has a wealth of practical experience and is extremely knowledgeable on the subject,” said Wendy Cohen, co-chair of Katten’s Financial Services practice in New York.

Yoon most recently served as general counsel at Genesis Block, a New York-based consulting firm that provides business, technology and regulatory advice regarding blockchain technology. Before that, she was a managing director and senior counsel at The Bank of New York Mellon. She began her career as an attorney in the corporate practice of a major New York law firm.
