Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that the firm has received the 2017 Outstanding Firm Pro Bono Service Award for its support of the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy, formerly known as Legal Services of Southern Piedmont.
A cooperative venture of the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy, the Council for Children’s Rights and Legal Aid of North Carolina, the Pro Bono Awards recognize the significant pro bono contributions that individuals and legal firms make to the three agencies.
Christy W. Hancock, a partner in Bradley’s Charlotte office and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy, accepted the award on Bradley’s behalf at a ceremony held Oct. 24. Bradley Charlotte PartnerJosé D. Vega currently serves as a member of the organization’s board.

The Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy provides a wide range of civil legal assistance to low-income people in the Charlotte metropolitan area and west-central North Carolina. Attorneys from Bradley’s Charlotte office work with the organization’s Wills on Wheels program, which provides estate planning services and preparation of wills for low-income seniors.
