Col. Jack Jacobs Resigns from Ballantyne Strong’s Board

Ballantyne Strong, Inc., a holding company, announced Wednesday that board member Colonel (Ret) Jack H. Jacobs has resigned, effective immediately, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

Jacobs, who served as chairman of the nominating and corporate governance committee and was a member of the audit committee, notified the company of his intention to resign on Oct. 5, according to the 8-K filing.

According to the filing, Jacobs “did not advise the Company of any dispute or disagreement with the Company or the company’s Board of Directors on any matter relating to the operations, policies, or practices of the Company.”

Jacobs, who joined Ballantyne’s board in July 2018, is a Melcher Senior Fellow of Politics and Professor of Humanities and Public Affairs at the United States Military Academy at West Point. He received a Medal of Honor for his service during the Vietnam War. He’s also the co-founder of AutoFinance Group, which sold to Key Bank. https://ballantynestrong.com/investors/investor-relations/

According to its website, Ballantyne Strong Inc. is a holding company “owning subsidiaries and investments engaged in several diverse business activities, including cinema products and services, digital signage, advertising, insurance, reinsurance, and investment management services.”

Shares of Ballantyne Strong Inc. (BTN) rose 2 cents to close at $1.55 per share on Wednesday.
