Epic Games, the Cary-based video game developer, announced on Monday that Korean pop boyband BTS will drop a new music video for their latest hit on “Fortnite.”

The music video, which features never-before-seen choreography to the English version of BTS’s latest single “Dynamite,” will premiere on Friday at 8 p.m. EST during “Fortnite’s Party Royale” mode, the battle royale game’s interactive social space to connect with other players in a non-combat zone.

“BTS is not only incredibly popular worldwide, but their talent, creativity, and forward-thinking attitude made them a perfect match. We’re honored to host their premiere,” Nate Nanzer, head of global partnerships for Epic Games, said in a statement.

The K-pop band’s single was No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 for two consecutive weeks, and its official music video broke a YouTube record of the most-viewed music video on its first day of release with 101.1 million views.

“Fortnite” is one of the world’s most popular video games with more than 350 million accounts and 2.5 billion friend connections.

“Fortnite,” which is banned from Apple’s App Store as the two companies battle it out in court, is free to download on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC and Android.
