USO Appoints Kelli Willoughby as North Carolina Executive Director

Kelli Willoughby, the current Vice President of Programs and Human Resources for the USO of North Carolina has been selected as the organization’s new Executive Director.

Willoughby will be responsible for the leadership and oversight of USO of NC service delivery across the state, including nine USO fixed centers, two satellite centers and other USO of NC assets across the state to include locations in Charlotte, Goldsboro, Fayetteville, Jacksonville, and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina.

“After a thorough selection process, the USO is pleased and proud that Kelli Willoughby will lead the USO of North Carolina in navigating and expanding the support for our military members and their loved ones,” said Jim Whaley, Regional President, USO Southeast Region. “She brings years of management experience and a passion for our noble USO mission. I have no doubt that under her leadership she will guide the USO of NC to achieve great heights.”

Willoughby has a proven track record of program, management, and fundraising results. Most recently, she managed the program development, implementation, and assessment strategies for the USO of NC. Willoughby strategically aligned corporate, foundation, and state government donors with USO of NC programs which resulted in over $3 million in revenue for the organization. Willoughby’s years of leadership experience in nonprofit management will help the organization continue an already impactful mission across the state.
