Cushman & Wakefield Arranges Multifamily Sale for Tyson Group

5/15/20

Cushman & Wakefield has arranged the sale of Nottingham, a 279-unit apartment community located in Monroe, North Carolina. Brooks Colquitt, Jordan McCarley, and Watson Bryant of Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller, Tyson Group, in the acquisition. Interurban Companies acquired the property.

“Nottingham is a great addition to Interurban Companies’ Charlotte portfolio,” Colquitt said. “Nottingham is a true value-add property offering all-original units. It currently trails central submarket competitors and is a prime opportunity to boost rents through a variety of initiatives such as interior upgrades, trash income, water/sewer submetering, and W/D appliances to bridge the gap.”

Nottingham residents are within walking distance of popular retailers and dining options along Roosevelt Boulevard, serving as the primary artery connecting Union and Mecklenburg counties.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Sunbelt Multifamily Advisory Group ranks No. 1 in Sunbelt market share based on over 300 transactions and $7.0 billion in multifamily and land investment sales in 2019 (Source: Real Capital Analytics www.rcanalytics.com).
