USO of North Carolina Empowers, Develops Military Children’s Resiliency and Leadership Skills

3/10/20

The USO of North Carolina will host a Military Family Reset program consisting of U.S. Army National Guard, Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, and Reserve service members and their families March 14th and 15th, 2020 at the Concord Great Wolf Lodge Conference Center.

The Military Family Reset program is a two-day event designed to empower and develop the resiliency, and leadership skills of military children ages 6-16. This event also provides military children the opportunity to lead their families and participate in the art of effective communication and team building, as families explore the resiliency needs of military families.

Topics include on-site health, human service and resiliency programs focused on giving all members of military families the hands-on training and tools they need to better cope with the pressures and challenges associated with a military lifestyle, as well as reestablishing and improving their own psychological needs, physical and nutritional health, financial literacy, and relationships as a family.

This program is an integral part of the USO of NC’s support and commitment to our service members and their families stationed throughout North Carolina.
