Former Mass Mutual executive joins to lead new Financial Services division

JAG Insurance Group (JAG) – a South Florida-based commercial insurance agency with Florida offices in Coral Gables and Delray Beach, and Charlotte, N.C. – announced today that Omar Barerra has joined the firm to lead a newly-formed division, JAG Financial Services.

JAG’s new Financial Services division cements JAG as an agency where a client’s entire insurance needs can be met . The division will focus on providing a broad range investing and insurance options, including term life insurance, whole life insurance, long term disability, and long-term care. Associates will weigh the specific risks affiliated with an individual’s financial situation to determine the most comprehensive package and secure their investments with a competitive insurance policy.

Barerra comes to JAG with a solid industry reputation and prior expertise in the financial services sector. He brings more than a decade of experience, most recently as a financial service professional with Mass Mutual and as a financial auditor for several prominent enterprises, including the Miccosukee Tribe.

As the head of the new division, Barerra will effectively handle the policies of clients seeking to secure their financial future by protecting their income, retirement, and family.
