Boutique Fitness Concept is Latest in a Series of New Retail Amenities at the 75-Acre Site
In the latest in a string of major new retail announcements at Camp North End in recent weeks,ATCO Properties & Management and its joint venture partner Shorenstein Properties LLC have finalized a long-term, 3,000 square-foot lease for boutique fitness hub bloc. at 1701 N. Graham Street.
bloc., owned and managed by Kadi Fit founder Katie Dixon, stands for “building lifestyles on community” and aims to be a one-stop shop for fitness and wellness, focused on changing lives both physically and mentally with group exercise classes (functional HIIT, boxing, cardio dance, & yoga), meditation, and workshops in mindset and goal-setting.
The boutique fitness hub is expected to relocate from Dilworth to Camp North End in February 2020, featuring a modified class schedule with weekly pop-up classes from February 1 - March 31. During this time, drop-in rates will be $10 for the public and a free amenity for Camp North End tenants.
Once fully open in April 2020, the gym will feature a dedicated entrance on Keswick Avenue across from Camp North End’s newly-announced food stalls. bloc. will activate their indoor space, the outdoor courtyard, and event spaces with regular classes, workshops, dance raves, and festivals with local brands. Bloc. will additionally provide Camp North End businesses with private workshops and coaching in mindset and goal-setting.
With the new commitment from bloc., Camp North End has now successfully secured six new retailers at the site over the last six months. Among the notable new arrivals include Bleu Barn Bistro’s first brick-and-mortar location; Nagahama-style noodle shop Bow Ramen; gourmet bakery Wentworth & Fenn; taproom Free Range Brewing; and James Beard-nominated chef Greg Collier’s new restaurant, Leah & Louise, which are all set to open in March 2020.

The move will enable us more space to move physically, as well as access to incredible events, markets, breweries, and restaurants, right on site. The joining of the 2 communities provides each side what it was missing. The possibilities are endless!”
1701 N. Graham Street is one of six buildings that ATCO and Shorenstein are adaptively reusing at Camp North End. Other projects currently underway include the redevelopment of the Gama Goat Building and 301 Camp Road.
In addition to bloc., other major tenants at Camo North End include nonprofit Junior Achievement of Central Carolinas (JACC); arts organization Goodyear Arts; co-working company Hygge; coffee company Hex Coffee Roasters; design consulting firm Wily; interactive gallery and creative studio space Black Market; boutique hair salon eXplicit Salon; creative studio and art gallery DUPP&SWAT; and custom motorcycle parts company Prism Supply. The campus also houses a set of industrial users.
A team from Cushman & Wakefield, led by Jessica Brown, David Dorsch and Grant Keyes, are the leasing brokers for the office component of the property, while Ascent Real Estate Partners is the leasing representative for the site’s retail space.
