Celebration events to feature a Dinner with Santa, community day

Pizza restaurant Your Pie in Cary Village Square Shopping Center will celebrate its two-year anniversary with a series of events highlighting family and the holidays, including a benefit night for East Cary Middle School; a community day and a toy drive pizza dinner with Santa. The local favorite will also partner with WRAL and the Mix 101.5, giving away gift cards daily beginning Dec. 9 – 13 to celebrate two years of serving the Cary community.

The events kick off this week at Your Pie at 685 Cary Town Blvd., and include:

  • Benefit Night- Wednesday, Dec. 11: A benefit night for East Cary Middle School in which 15 percent of all of the evening’s sales will benefit music and arts through a contribution to the school band boosters.
  • Community Day - Friday, Dec. 13: The fun will continue with $5 pizzas beginning at 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.
  • Dinner with Santa - Monday, Dec. 23: As a customer appreciation finale, Your Pie will be hosting a dinner with Santa, where children will eat for $.99 with the purchase of an adult entrée. Additionally, guests are encouraged to bring unwrapped toys for donation to charity.

Media and the public are invited to attend all events.

“We’re excited to celebrate our two-year anniversary in Cary by inviting members of the community to join us for fun and pizza, just as they have since 2017,” said Efrem Yates, who became owner of the Cary Your Pie in November. “This is also an opportunity for the community to learn more about how we plan to make an impact and truly be the local pizza restaurant for Cary.”

Yates – who is a former Boys and Girls Club participant in his hometown of Kinston also plans to donate any toys received to the Wake County Boys and Girls Club.

Your Pie is an originator of the fast-casual, brick oven, customized personal pizza restaurant, founded in 2008 by Drew French with more than 65 franchise locations across 18 states, offering traditional, vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free pizzas alongside local craft beer, wine and Italian-style gelato pairings.

Yates, however, is making pizza a local affair and is planning to open nine additional Your Pie restaurants in the Triangle area. A NC-native and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill alumnus, he plans to open his next location off Raleigh’s Capital Boulevard in April 2020.
