Cushman & Wakefield has promoted Mac Hammer, Senior Director,to lead the firm’s Office Agency Leasing practice.

Hammer has more than 14 years of commercial real estate experience representing a diverse group of local and nationalclients. He has established himself as one of the preeminent leasing agents for “best-in-class” mixed-use office projects and has completed more than 450 transactions valued at more than $624 million. In his five years at Cushman & Wakefield, Hammer has worked with key developers on market-changing projects including Kane Realty for North Hills in Raleigh, Capitol Broadcasting’s American Tobacco Campus in Durham, Akridge in partnership with Northwood Ravin for 555 Mangum in Durham and the Research Triangle Foundation on the Frontier at RTP.

He was also named a “Mover and Shaker” by Business Leader magazine.
He is actively involved with a variety of charities including Habitat for Humanity, Adopt-a-Highway and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Hammer is a Coach for Chapel Hill / Carrboro YMCA Soccer and Rival Youth Lacrosse, and is a former volunteer firefighter for the Parkwood Fire Department.
Hammer earned his Bachelor of Artsdegrees in Management & Society as well as Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While there he was a member of the Varsity lacrosse team and earned the distinctions ofTeam Captain, Division I All-American and All-ACC Academic team.
