Medfusion, a healthcare-based technology company, has announced the creation of a new stand-alone company, Greenlight Health Data Solutions, in a press release Wednesday.

Greenlight Health will provide approved patient records across a variety of healthcare providers and patient portals. This will allow patients to share their medical information across disability companies, hospitals, and wellness apps through one service portal, the company said.

“Creating a health data services company with dedicated technical and operational resources will enable us to accelerate the growth of patient data-driven applications,” said Steve Malik, chairman and founder of Medfusion.

The new company will be based in Cary and staffed by Medfusion employees. Medfusion is a company that works to improve patient-provider engagement.
