The event series, featuring acclaimed chefs and visual/performing arts elements, adds three new dates on November 6th, 13th, and 20th
Mark your calendars: the Next Plate Dinner Series is extending its successful run and adding three new dates at Camp North End this November.
After selling out the Spring and Fall dates, Camp North End will extend the series into November, once again pairing acclaimed chefs from different culinary backgrounds with cultural and arts organizations to create an immersive dining experience. It will take place on the first, second, and third Wednesdays in November (11/6, 11/13 and 11/20), each date featuring a partnership between celebrated local talent and a guest chef.
Attendees will enjoy a meal with multiple courses and drink pairings composed with visual and performing arts elements. Full menus will be announced two weeks prior to each event.
"The next plate series success at Camp North End shows how Charlotte has grown as a food scene,” says James Beard-nominated Chef Greg Collier. “Four or five years ago, we didn’t have a lot of great dinner series. It's such an honor to be a part of the growth of the food scene in Charlotte!”
“I have been a fan of Chef Derry since watching her on ‘Top Chef,'” Collier says. “We both cook from a place that honors traditions, so being able to do a dinner together is gonna be super dope.”
“Next Plate represents a really exciting trend that’s happening in Charlotte,” said Varian Shrum, Community Manager at Camp North End. “There’s an incredible amount of talent here, and people are starting to collaborate in ways that push our city forward, both in the food scene and the arts scene and now those two together. “We are excited to continue elevating Charlotte’s collaborative spirit by introducing nationally-known chefs into the mix,” Shrum says. “We hope all parties involved - chefs, mixologists, artists, and guests - will leave with a sense of appreciation for where our city is today and a sense of inspiration for what they can help Charlotte become.”

About Camp North End
Camp North End is a state-of-the art creative development that is being designed and curated to cater to today’s most innovative and cutting-edge companies in Charlotte’s up-and-coming North End Smart District.
As one of the largest adaptive reuse projects currently underway in the U.S., the project is transforming a historic 75-acre site where people once manufactured Model T cars and assembled Hercules missiles into a catalytic hub of creativity and ideas.
With over one million square feet of space for work, artistic expression, dining and hospitality, entertainment, recreation and community building, together with new construction in coming years, Camp North End's curated development will welcome residents from all parts of the Queen City and Mecklenburg County to make their future. The Boileryard is already open for happy hour every Friday evening through October, and its first redeveloped building is now occupied by local businesses and artists. Currently, developer ATCO Properties & Management is undertaking the adaptive reuse of five buildings on the site, including the redevelopment of the Gama Goat Building at 1701 N. Graham Street and a portion of the building facing The Mount, one of the project’s districts.
