CommScope Continues Partnership with Foxtel for Australia

CommScope said it would continue its partnership with Foxtel for viewers in Australia in a press release Tuesday.

CommScope has worked with Foxtel to provide the software platform for its iQ4 set-top box. Through the box Foxtel’s users can stream videos and live programming.

“Our work with Foxtel highlights our continued leadership and combined expertise in professional services and software integration,” said Steve McCaffery, a senior vice president at CommScope. “We are setting a new standard for the television experience by combining the latest technology in support of the growing number of video formats that consumers enjoy.”

Foxtel is an Australian cable and broadband provider owned by News Corp. and Telstra Corp. CommScope is a network infrastructure provider that focuses on wired and wireless communications.

Shares of CommScope were trading at $11.17 Tuesday, down 1 cent.
