Denim brand Wrangler has committed $100,000 over five years to Ducks Unlimited for conservation efforts in North Carolina, according to a press release Thursday.
The collaboration will support the Alcoa Land Project, which will preserve more than 4,700 acres and roughly 76 miles of shoreline on the Yadkin Pee-Dee River, the biggest source of water for the central region of North Carolina.
“We’re proud to help permanently protect the land and waters associated with the Alcoa Land Project and to provide habitat for wildlife and recreational opportunities for the people of North Carolina,” said Tom Waldron, global brand president of Wrangler.
Ducks Unlimited is a non-profit dedicated to conserving waterfowl habitats across the United States.
Shares of Wrangler, under the parent company, Kontoor Brands were trading at $34.89 Thursday, up 74 cents.
