cbdMD, the first CBD company to have a sponsorship with an American professional sports league, named Hans Molenkamp as vice president of sports marketing on Friday.

Molenkamp, with over 20 years of experience as a senior marketing executive, entered into an advisory pact with cbdMD for the role. He has worked with Triumph United, Monster Energy, and Osiris Shoes building an impressive resume.

At Monster Energy, Molenkamp created the Monster Energy Combat and Athletic Sports Division. The division has partnered with athletes like Jon Jones, Daniel Cormier, Conor McGregor, Jorge Masvidal and Rose Namjunas.

“CBD is a daily maintenance tool for me,” said Mr. Molenkamp. “My partnership with cbdMD will become much more than a ‘job’, and it will be my mission to spread the gospel of how amazing the cbdMD product has been for me.”

Shares of cbdMD were trading at $3.75 on Friday, down 26 cents.
