Babcock & Wilcox Awarded $12 Million Contract

Babcock & Wilcox Company has been awarded a $12 million contract to refurbish a recovery boiler for a U.S. manufacturing facility, the company said a press release Thursday.

B&W’s contract is for the design and manufacture of a steam drum, furnace, superheater and other components of the recovery boiler.

“B&W has long been the established leader in this market and has the largest installed base of recover boilers in North America, as well as many decades of experience providing boiler upgrades and refurbishments,” Said B&W CEO, Kenny Young.

The company has not said which facility the boiler is for. Delivery of the recovery boiler is set for the second half of 2020.

Shares of B&W Enterprises Inc. were trading at $4.69 Friday, down 12 cents.
