Union Bank will close its Cary branch office in January, the company said in a press release Thursday.
Union Bank will consolidate Cary services into its Raleigh branch office located at 701 Mutual Court, which is a larger location.
“This change will significantly improve the profitability of our Wake County operation, allowing us to focus on, and grow our Wake County business in a more efficient manner,” said Rob Jones, president and chief executive officer of Union Bank.
Union Bank owns the Cary property location on Branford View Drive and plans to market the property soon.
Founded in 1998, Union Bank operates 15 branches located in 11 counties throughout North Carolina.
