-- Nightly Spirits revamped tour moves Uptown --

Nightly Spirits, Charlotte’s favorite haunted ghost tour, has a newer, spookier, and even more hauntingly exciting pub tour especially designed for the “Queen City”with tours kicking off Friday, September 20th. Established in 2012, Nightly Spirits boasts year-round, intimate tours of just 15 to 20 guests that provide a hair-raising history through Charlotte’s apparitional annals.

The revamped ghostly experience expands on the previous tour with more frightful tales of Charlotte’s phantasmic history, a whole new set of pubs to explore, and even time to step into the city’s oldest graveyard before it closes to the living. Nightly Spirits’ new tour route is the perfect place for tourists to get an out-of-this-world introduction to the city and just like any good haunting, Nightly Spirits tours never cease; they will always run their tours, despite the number of tickets sold.

“The new tour really focuses on the outstanding, frightening, and haunted history that is concentrated at the center of this amazing city!” said Alex Castanon, operations manager of Nightly Spirits. “Ghost adventurers get a lot from it. Not only do the pubs make for a great time, the stories are more in-depth and give you a genuine sense of the ‘spirit’ of this city.”

Priced at just $25 for a two-and-a-half-hour tour that includes some pub time to drown the darkness, 21-and-up locals and tourists will begin at Dandelion Market and move along Old Settler’s Cemetery through Uptown Charlotte. The spellbinding night continues past Old St. Peter’s Hospital, the haunted Carolina Theatre, and by many storied and haunted sites leading towards Independence Square.

Nightly Spirits guests can interact with spirits of their own from the à la carte drink specials or theatrically-themed cocktails at each stop on the tavern tour, setting a supernatural scene for a date night, bachelor/bachelorette parties and even office/corporate gatherings. It’s a great way to for guests who are new to the city to learn the about the area and has plenty of fun facts and statistics to satisfy the most ardent history buff.

“Whether you’re new to Charlotte or even if you have gone on the tour before, I assure you there’s something new and eye-opening for everyone who visits,” said Castanon. “Nightly Spirits guides will provide you with previously off-limits access while sharing these tantalizing tales of Charlotte. You’re also assured to meet new friends—both mortal and cadaverous— along our cryptic course.”

Starting at 8 p.m., tour guests will meet their guide at Dandelion Market to kick off their night of ghoulish adventure. The tour will continue on to Dunhill Hotel, Ri Ra Irish Pub, and round out the night with more libations and haunted happenings at Tilt on Trade.

Nightly Spirits Charlotte tours will run Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, come rain or shine. For more information about Nightly Spirits or to book a tour please visit www.nightlyspirits.com.
