TrialCard Inc. agreed to acquire San Francisco-based Mango Health, the company said in a press release on Wednesday.
Mango Health offers an application for mobile phones that works to increase patient adherence to medication procedures and warns of potential drug interactions.
TrialCard looked at numerous companies that claimed to improve engagement and medication adherence said Scott Dulitz, TrialCard’s chief strategy officer.
“However, none of them was able to demonstrate the combination of significant adherence improvements and top-tier technology like Mango Health,” Dulitz said.
This announcement marks the third acquisition for TrialCard in the past year, according to the company. TrialCard acquired pharmacy company TC Script in Oct. 2018 and former competitor RxSolutions in Jan. 2019.
Founded in 2000, TrialCard works with pharmaceutical companies to provide patients with affordable access to medication and improve medication adherence.
