Unifi announced its new executive vice president and chief financial officer in a statement Tuesday.

Craig Creaturo will take over both roles effective Sept. 9. Creaturo previously served as chief financial officer and vice president of administration for thermal technologies manufacturer Chromalox from February 2015 to March 2019.

Christopher Smosna, who served as interim chief financial officer since December, will continue his previous roles as vice president and treasurer.

President and Chief Operating Officer Tom Caudle praised Creaturo’s experience in complex manufacturing and global operations.

“I am confident that Craig will complement our leadership team and that we can leverage Craig’s extensive knowledge and skillset, which will be paramount in advancing our strategic initiatives and driving improvement in our domestic and international operations,” Caudle said.

Unifi is a global manufacturer of synthetic and recycled performance fibers and yarns headquartered in Greensboro.

Shares of Unifi were trading at $19.37 per share Wednesday morning, up 21 cents.
