Fennec’s CEO and CFO Receive Base Salary Increase

The chief executive officer and chief financial officer of biotechnology company Fennec Pharmaceuticals Inc. received a base salary increase, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Rostislav Raykov, chief executive officer of Fennec since 2009, received a $50,000 increase to his base salary, rising up to $400,000.

Raykov received $1,072,261 in total compensation for year end 2018, due in large to the $562,261, he received in company stock option rewards.

He was also awarded a bonus of $160,000 that year.

Robert Andrade, Fennec’s chief financial officer, also saw an increase to his base salary rising from $250,000 to $290,000.

In 2018 his total compensation was $669,099, after earning both a $110,000 bonus and $309,099 in company stock options rewards.

Fennec Pharmaceutical is a biotechnology company seeking to develop solutions to combat chemotherapy-induced hearing loss. The company’s signature drug Pedmark, is currently moving toward regulatory approval in the U.S. and EU.

Fennec’s stock closed at $4.70 on Friday, down 2 cents.
