The chief executive officer of Tanger Factory Outlet Centers Inc. earned $6.97 million in 2018, down slightly from a year prior.
Steven Tanger, whose father, Stanley, began the Greensboro-based real estate investment trust in 1981, saw his incentive plan compensation dip about $41,000 to $952,000 in 2018 from $993,367 in 2017.
His salary remained at $850,000.
The bulk of his compensation came in $4.6 million in stock awards, up about $30,000 from 2017.
Other executives on the payroll earned about the same or more compared to a year prior.
President and Chief Operating Officer Thomas McDonough and Executive Vice President Lisa Morrison saw their total compensation fall less than 1 percent year over year.
Chief financial Officer James Williams and general counsel Chad Perry saw their total take-home grow 11.37 percent and 4.77 percent, respectively, with the bulk of the raise coming from incentive-based compensation.
Tanger’s annual shareholder meeting will be held on Friday, May 17, at 10 a.m., at the REIT’s corporate headquarters in Greensboro at 3200 Northline Avenue, Suite 360.
Its stock closed 21 cents lower Monday to $20.31 per share.
