SPX Corp. Names Eric Kaled as President of Genfare Business

SPX Corp., a Charlotte-based highly engineered products and technologies supplier, announced Tuesday that Eric Kaled has been hired as president of its Genfare business.

Kaled has experience in transit and technology innovation in P&L management, business development, commercial leadership and product development.

“We are excited to welcome Eric to lead our transportation solutions platform,” said SPX President and CEO Gene Lowe. “He has a proven record of driving growth through innovation and will be pivotal to further enhancing our strategic growth initiatives in full service fare collection solutions.”

SPX has about 4,000 employees in 17 countries and had about $1.4 billion in annual revenue in 2018.

Kaled’s most recent role was at Crane Co., where he served in many positions, most recently as senior vice president and general manager in the connectivity and financial payment technology groups.

Before that, Kaled spend 12 years at Teradyne Inc. in various roles.

Genfare manufactures fare collection and mobile ticketing systems.

SPX closed Tuesday at $35.23, down 27 cents.
