HEPACO, LLC, a leading provider of environmental and emergency response services across more than 40 offices in the Eastern United States, announced today that it has named former Clean Harbors executive Scott Metzger as President and Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Metzger fills a newly created role that will be instrumental for supporting the Company’s continued growth. He will report directly to Ken Smith, Chief Executive Officer of HEPACO. HEPACO is a portfolio company of San Francisco-based private equity firm Gryphon Investors.
Mr. Metzger has nearly 30 years of operational management experience across environmental services. Prior to joining HEPACO, Mr. Metzger served in various leadership positions at Clean Harbors, where he was most recently a Senior Vice President, leading field service operations for more than 1,200 employees across approximately 70 offices. Mr. Metzger is also a long-term member of the Board of Directors and a past President of the Spill Control Association of America.
