Perkins+Will Appoints Heather Stonebraker as Practice Leader for Corporate Interiors

Global architecture and design firm Perkins+Will welcomes Heather Stonebraker, IIDA as corporate interiors practice leader. As a strategist and project leader experienced in all phases of large-scale global interior design and architecture projects, Stonebraker has worked with multi-location technology, financial service, and R&D clients.She will be based in the North Carolina practice’s Durham studio.

In her new role at Perkins+Will, she will provide project leadership to the fast-growing interiors practice and its North Carolina-based design teams. Working with corporation clients, real estate developers, and owner representatives, Stonebraker will draw on her diverse experience and teambuilding skills to develop and oversee complex projects while also mentoring emerging leaders in the firm.

“Heather is known for guiding clients and project team members through a thoughtful process of exploring options, building consensus, and implementing creative solutions,” said Zena Howard FAIA, Managing Director of the North Carolina practice of Perkins+Will. “Her success in creating and sustaining relationships is well matched to the culture of Perkins+Will and our North Carolina practice. We are pleased to welcome Heather to the Bull City.”

Prior to joining Perkins+Will, Stonebraker worked with national and international architecture firms and led project organization and delivery of millions of square feet of interior-focused designs for Fortune 500 global companies, financial service giants, and sector-leading technology firms. These include JP Morgan Chase, Microsoft, and Bank of America. A native Texan, she is accredited by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and is a Licensed Fine Art and Archival Handler by the American Alliance of Museums (AAM). Stonebraker has a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Interior Design from the Arts Institute and is pursuing a Master’s Degree(M.S.) in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
