Charlotte Eye Ear Nose and Throat Associates, which operates over 20 care centers in North Carolina and South Carolina, has raised $1.38 million in equity.

The company filed the Form D on Friday. It did not disclose how the company intends to use the proceeds.

Charlotte Eye Ear Nose and Throat Associates was founded in 1923 as a single hospital and has expanded to become one of the largest eye, ear, nose and throat practices on the East Coast. It was ranked as one of the top work places by the Charlotte Observer in 2015 and 2016.

Michael Sicard and Robert Saltzmann are executive officers and practicing doctors at Charlotte Eye Ear Nose and Throat Associates.

Sicard graduated from Duke University School of Medicine and has over 20 years of experience in ear, nose and throat care. He was ranked as one of Charlotte’s top doctors in 2018 by Charlotte Magazine.

Saltzmann earned his medical degree at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in 2005 and specializes in eye care.

Companies relying on a Reg D exemption do not have to register their offering of securities with the SEC, but they must file what’s known as a Form D electronically with the SEC after they first sell their securities.

The form can be found here.
