Bojangles’ Appoints Kenneth M. Koziol Chief Restaurant Support Officer

Bojangles’ Inc., the Charlotte-based Southern-style fast food chain, has hired Kenneth M. Koziol in the new role of chief restaurant support officer.

In this role, Koziol will assume responsibility for supply chain, quality assurance, strategy, menu development, innovation, and information technology.

Koziol said that he looks forward to working with the company and franchisees “to continue growing the brand and solidifying its legacy.”

Koziol will report directly to Bojangles’ new CEO, Jose Armario, who was appointed on Jan. 28 after the company was acquired by Durational Capital Management LP and The Jordan Co. L.P. for $593 million.

Koziol most recently served as the executive vice president of supply chain, manufacturing and international with Panera Bread Co. Before Panera Bread, Koziol held leadership roles at McDonald’s Corp. for more than 20 years.

“Ken’s extensive strategy development background, QSR business acumen and industry experience will add tremendous value to us as we prepare the groundwork for our long-term growth strategy,” said Armario.

In January, Eric Sobotka, managing partner at Durational Capital Management said that Durational was “excited to begin working with the Bojangles’ team, employees and franchisees to execute a long-term growth strategy that will fully realize the strong potential of the iconic Bojangles’ brand.”

Bojangles’ has over 750 restaurants across 12 states, primarily located in the Southeastern United States.
