Lutgert Companies has purchased 14 town homes in Charlotte’s Eastover neighborhood, and plans to develop 38 luxury condominium homes in the same neighborhood.

According to a release, the condominium project — a first for the developer in the Charlotte market — will open later this year off Cherokee Road. The construction will not require changes in zoning to build.

Rob Pressley of Coldwell Banker Commercial MECA brokered the Eastover land purchase.

Two Charlotte-based groups will help design and plan the building: NamourWright Architecture will design the building, and civil engineering group LandDesign will provide both design and planning services according to the release.

Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, the broker for Lutgert Companies’ to-be-built condominiums, was not immediately available for comment Thursday.
