Lindy Biosciences, a Research Triangle Park-based therapeutics company, has raised $547,000 in equity.

According to the Form D filed Tuesday, Lindy Biosciences must collect over $1 million in addition to sell its entire offering of $1.6 million. It did not specify how the company intends to use the proceeds.

The company also raised $150,000 in 2018.

Lindy Biosciences was founded in 2017 and is focused on the development stage of protein therapeutic formulations.

Deborah Bitterfield is the founder and CEO of the company. She graduated with a degree in classics and philosophy from Drew University in 2001 and went on to earn a PhD in materials science from Duke University in 2011.

Prior to Lindy Biosciences, Bitterfield led scientific operations and project management at Southeast Techinventures, a technology innovations lab in Durham.

Companies relying on a Reg D exemption do not have to register their offering of securities with the SEC, but they must file what’s known as a Form D electronically with the SEC after they first sell their securities.

The form can be found here.
