Charlotte-based Versiant Names Jeff Spalding CEO

Versiant, a Charlotte-based international information technology provider, announced Tuesday that Jeff Spalding had been appointed its president and chief executive officer.

Versiant was founded in 2008 and has fewer than 50 employees. The company manages software and uses technology to improve businesses’ efficiency.

Spalding has more than 30 years of experience in the technology industry providing solutions to clients in various industries.

“I am very excited to join the founders in helping guide the company to further growth and success all while maintaining the unique culture and customer first focus that our employees have,” said Spalding in a statement

Spalding’s most recent role was COO of Peak 10, where he oversaw the sales, service delivery and support of hybrid IT, Cloud, DRaaS and colocation services.

Before that, Spalding was head of sales at Osprey Systems, an SAP and eCommerce firm and held multiple leadership roles with IBM.
