
Kev Group, a Canadian school payment software development company, has acquired Wilmington-based TRA Inc., a company specializing in school activity funds accounting software.
Terms were not disclosed.
Kev Group has provided online payment, accounting and activity tracking solutions for over 30 years and is currently used in over 16,500 schools.
“This acquisition is a major milestone for Kev,” said Kev Group CEO Bram Belzberg in a statement. “TRA is a highly respected technology company recognized by their customers for the strength of their school accounting software solution and their dedication to customer service.”
Belzberg has served as chairman and CEO since 2009. He previously served as an analyst for Goldman Sachs and earned his MBA at Harvard Business School.
TRA has offices in Wilmington, North Carolina; Milton, West Virginia; and Hendersonville, Tennessee.
TRA’s SchoolFunds Online software will join the Kev Group’s School Cash Suite software as being the only solution available that fully integrates online payments, fee management, school-level accounting, and digital forms into one software system.
Technology Resource Associates founder Tom Rickman is an East Carolina University graduate and the former president of Southport Angler Outfitters.
