Business Litigation attorneys David Palko, Madison Waller and Savannah Hansen Best have joined Womble Bond Dickinson’s Raleigh office.

Palko served in the US Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps before entering private practice. His work with the JAG Corps included providing free legal services to active and retired military members as a Legal Assistance attorney, representing victims of sexual assault as a Special Victim Counsel, and prosecuting felonies and misdemeanors occurring on military installations as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney. He received the Army Commendation Medal for developing a novel statutory interpretation argument that, when presented to the Office of the Judge Advocate General at the Pentagon, led to an Army-wide change in retirement policy favorable to service members.
He spent the past year serving as a law clerk to Judge James A. Wynn, Jr. of the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Waller comes to Womble Bond Dickinson from the US District Court of the Eastern District of North Carolina, where she served as a law clerk to Judge Louise Flanagan.
She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and UNC School of Law.
Best, a former Womble Bond Dickinson summer associate, comes to the firm from Duke University School of Law. There, she was a Moot Court Board Member and Competition Coordinator, an Executive Editor of the Alaska Law Review and volunteered at various organizations including Lawyer on the Line and the Cancer Pro Bono Project.
