Today’s Workforce Requires Flexibility, Opportunity and Equity DHG Responds with a Dynamic Employee Experience

Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP (DHG), a U.S. top 20 public accounting and advisory firm, has launched an innovative ONE DHG Employee Experience focused on flexibility, opportunity and equity, creating a consistent experience for all team members regardless of position in the firm. The framework for the experience is a key component in DHG’s high trust / high performance culture and it serves to enhance team members’ lives both inside and outside of DHG.

“We are committed to a great work place experience for every team member at DHG and recognize that, as individuals, our people have unique goals, challenges and needs,” said Effin Logue, Chief People Officer. “Through the ONE DHG Employee Experience, we can further support our people, their families and personal lives, and their aspirations while creating a deeper connection to the DHG mission and strategy.”

DHG recognizes that individuals have evolving needs, and because of that, flexibility in firm policies enhances DHG’s ability to support each of its people during their ever-changing seasons of life. In addition to the debut of its two-way communication process focused on transparency and information sharing, DHG has introduced the following enhancements as part of the ONE DHG Employee Experience.

  • My Time: By offering uncapped personal time off to those that have been with the firm more than two years, DHG is one of the first in the industry to offer its people the flexibility to manage their time away from the office in a way that maximizes performance while allowing appropriate recovery time.
  • Flex Dress Attire: Gives DHG professionals the option to dress for their day while maintaining a professional image. Team members really appreciate the opportunity to dress casually when they are not in client meetings.
  • Extended Parental Leave: Gives new parents, including those adopting, the time away that they need to recover from delivery, support their partner, and bond with their new child while continuing to build their valuable career. (12 weeks for primary caregivers and 6 weeks for secondary caregivers).
  • 401K Enhancements: An improved 401k profit sharing plan to help all DHG people prepare for their financial future. Regardless of individual contribution, all employees will receive an increased DHG profit sharing contribution.
  • DHG Snapshot – A performance management dashboard that provides at-a-glance career information and data analytics that is personalized for each team member, helping employees manage their life both inside and outside of DHG.
  • Medical/Pharmacy Enhancements – Partnering with an innovative third-party healthcare administrator, DHG is positioning all team members for enhanced wellness, care navigation and care management.

The ONE DHG Employee Experience is a result of feedback received from professionals in the firm’s annual DHG Voice survey. Feedback and ratings from the 2018 DHG Voice survey led to DHG’s recertification as a Great Place to Work. Click here to read more.

“Our people are our top priority, and we have listened to their voices by responding with programs that promote flexibility, opportunity and equity. We will continue to listen and respond to feedback, and we look forward to continuing our commitment to meet the evolving needs of our team,” added Matt Snow, DHG’s CEO.
