North Carolina-based Innovative Glass of America Has Been Sold

American Insulated Glass LLC, a glass fabricator and wholesale distributor in the Southeast, has acquired North Carolina-based Innovative Glass of America for an undisclosed amount, the companies announced Wednesday in a press release.

The deal enables AIG to expands its market reach across the Southeast.

Innovative Glass is based in Dallas, North Carolina. The company offers various fabricated glass solutions, including Vetrotech fire-rated ceramics and a range of decorative glass.

Louie Dean, founder and president of IGA, helped bring the two companies together, and he will continue to manage the daily operations in Dallas, North Carolina.

“I am so proud of the talented and loyal team of employees we have at IGA and we are truly excited to be joining the American Insulated Glass family,” stated Dean. “We have great, long-standing, working and personal relationships with the leadership at AIG and we look forward to the success that will come from being a part of a larger unified team.”

AIG also recently opened a new fabrication facility in Birmingham, Alabama, and currently has facilities in Atlanta and Pensacola, Florida.

“For decades, IGA has provided quality products and service to glazing contractors in North and South Carolina, and portions of Virginia and South Georgia,” said American Insulated CEO Billy Blair in a statement. “This acquisition will allow AIG to better serve customers across the Southeast with a variety of outstanding product capabilities as our company continues to grow.”

Before becoming CEO of AIG, Blair was the regional operations manager at AGC Glass North America, Inc. He received his bachelor’s degree at Mercer University.
