Akoustis Technologies Provides Management Update

Charlotte, N.C., Nov. 05, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Akoustis Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKTS) (“Akoustis” or the “Company”), a manufacturer of patented bulk acoustic wave (BAW) high-band RF filters for mobile and other wireless applications, is providing an update to its management team.

The Company announced that November 5, 2018 will be the last day of employment for John Kurtzweil, its Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Kurtzweil’s departure was not due to any disagreement concerning the Company’s financial statements, policies or practices. Akoustis has appointed Kenneth Boller to serve as the Interim Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Boller joined the Company as Corporate Controller and Assistant Secretary in December 2017 and will continue with those responsibilities. From 2012 to 2017, Mr. Boller served as a U.S. Controller and Director of Accounting for Ecolab, a Fortune 500 company. Mr. Boller has over 20 years of accounting experience and is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He has helped build and manage the finance organization at Akoustis since joining the Company.
