Orchard Systems Inc., a Durham-based e-commerce software developer, raised $810,000 by selling private equity, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

Orchard Systems filed the Form D on Oct. 30. According to the filing, the entire offering has been sold. It did not specify how Orchard Systems intends to use the proceeds.

Orchard Systems was founded in 2015. The company mostly serves retail, grocery and foodservice enterprises interested in integrating technology into their management and operations. Its primary products include a cloud-based point-of-sale platform and a web-app used to manage inventory, payroll and accounting.

Thomas Cecil is the cofounder and CEO of the company. He founded the company as a student at Dartmouth College, where he graduated in 2017.

Companies relying on a Reg D exemption do not have to register their offering of securities with the SEC, but they must file what’s known as a Form D electronically with the SEC after they first sell their securities.

The form can be found here.
