Air Canada announced an expansion into North Carolina with new routes to Raleigh and Charlotte.

Beginning May 1, 2019, Air Canada will begin their increased presence in North Carolina with three-times daily flights to Raleigh and twice-daily flights to Charlotte.

In June 2019, a non-stop flight between Montreal and Raleigh will be added as a service.

The airline will be utilizing larger aircrafts on flights between Toronto and Raleigh and Charlotte to increase capacity and implement a new Business Class service.

Vice President of Network Planning Mark Galardo said the reason for the expansion is due to North Carolina’s economic growth.

“The new Montreal-Raleigh service will be the only non-stop flight between these cities, while customers traveling between Toronto and Raleigh and Charlotte will now have the option of Business Class, offering an upgraded flying experience,” said Galardo. ”

“While always a popular leisure destination, North Carolina is also experiencing strong economic growth and Air Canada is making it more convenient and comfortable for customers to travel between Canada and the state.”

Air Canada is Canada’s largest airline. The airline serves more than 220 airports on six different continents.

Air Canada provides scheduled passenger flights directly to 64 airports in Canada, 59 in the United States and 98 in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Australia, the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America and South America.
