AmTrust Title Insurance Company announced today that it is expanding its professional team in the Southeast by adding a highly regarded Carolinas agency group. Mark Hungate, a 20-year veteran of the title and mortgage industries, joins as Regional Sales Representative; and Jesse Cavett, Esq., an attorney with six years of experience in title and real estate transactions, joins as Underwriting Counsel.

Each brings a wealth of regional knowledge and consistent title insurance experience, thereby enhancing our ability to meet the rising demand for title insurance for AmTrust Title in the Carolinas,” said Thomas Klein, senior vice president/national agency manager.

Based in Kernersville, NC, Mr. Hungate’s focus is business development, customer service and operations. Prior to joining AmTrust Title, he held senior positions with a wide variety of title and mortgage companies, the most recent of which was North American Title Insurance Company. Earlier he worked for independent title agencies, a mortgage insurance company, a nationwide appraisal management company and a default management services company.
His multiple memberships include: both North Carolina and South Carolina Land Title Associations; and both Texas and Carolina’s Bankers Associations; and MICA HASP and HARP Committee member. He earned a BS degree from West Virginia University.
Based in AmTrust Title’s Charleston, South Carolina office, Mr. Cavett provides guidance on legal and underwriting issues related to title insurance matters for attorneys and title agents in both Carolinas. Prior to joining AmTrust, he was Managing Title Attorney for Columbia, South Carolina-based McDonnell & Associates, P.A., where he supervised South Carolina title operations and managed various title attorneys for this multi-state real estate law firm and title company.
Mr. Cavett has been a member of a wide variety of organizations in the southeast, including local bar associations, the Charleston Home Builders Association, Business Networking International - West Ashley Chapter of BNI, Charleston Trident Association of Realtors, Mortgage Lenders Association of Greater Charleston, and Charleston Lawyer Club. He earned a J.D. Degree from Charleston School of Law and a B.A. degree from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee.
