Carolina Partners in Mental HealthCare has appointed a new CEO and is looking to expand following a new investment from a private equity firm, the company announced.

The company did not disclose the monetary value of the investment.

According to a statement, CPMH plans to use the funds to grow its presence in North Carolina and other states, expanding access to their mental healthcare services and hiring additional psychiatrists and other health professionals.

The investment, made by Cincinnati-based River Cities Capital Funds, will enable CPMH to grow its existing treatment sites and open new ones, said Dan Fleming, River Cities managing director. River Cities has an additional office located in Raleigh.

“We look forward to building a leading behavioral health organization in the southeast,” Fleming said in the statement.

The company’s new CEO, Jeff Williams, previously founded Clinipace Worldwide, a clinical research organization based in Morrisville. Williams announced his resignation as CEO of Clinipace in October 2017.

Carolina Partners in Mental HealthCare was founded in 1994 to “provide North Carolina with better mental health services,” according to the company’s website. The company operates 35 treatment sites throughout the state, including locations in Asheville, Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill.
