Greensboro-based apartment developer Ardmore Indian Trail LLC raised $7.75 million in a private equity offering, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The minimum investment from the group of 16 accredited investors was $25,000. Ardmore explains on its website that it invests its own capital with partners in development deals.

“All equity is equal in our deals,” says the firm’s website. “We invest shoulder to shoulder with our partners.”

Executive leadership at Ardmore could not be reached for comment.

Its president is Brantley White. He has led the firm in the development of over 2,500 units valued at over $350 million. He is a licensed real estate broker, maintains the designation of certified property manager, and is a licensed general contractor for Whitewood Construction.

In the face of this funding influx is Hurricane Florence, a category three storm with a path set to cross much of Ardmore’s portfolio.

Ardmore has apartment communities across the Carolinas — in South Carolina, from coastal Bluffton to Columbia to Greenville, and in North Carolina, from Fayetteville to Waxhaw and Concord near Charlotte, as well as Wake Forest.
