BioCryst Pharmaceuticals Commences Public Offering of Common Stock

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., Aug. 01, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- BioCryst Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: BCRX) a biotechnology company focused on the development and commercialization of treatments for rare and infectious diseases, announced today that it is offering to sell $50 million of its common stock in an underwritten public offering. As part of this offering, BioCryst intends to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional $7.5 million of its common stock. The offering is subject to market conditions, and there can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed, or the actual size or terms of the offering.

J.P. Morgan and Jefferies are acting as joint book-running managers for the proposed offering.
