5/1/18

CBRE has been appointed to market 1,808 acres of land with approximately four miles of Catawba River frontage in York County, South Carolina. Located within 20 miles of Charlotte’s central business district and eight miles from Rock Hill, the property’s potential future uses include a residential development, a master-planned mixed-use community or a personal recreational investment. The property is currently available for recreational uses such as boating, fishing, hunting, or horseback riding.

CBRE|Raleigh’s Chester Allen and CBRE’s Katherine Southard represent the current owner while marketing the property for sale.

“The property offers investors and developers the chance to own a significant land assemblage in the nationally outpacing Charlotte residential market with a projected population growth rate of 26% over the next 10 years,” said Mr. Allen, senior vice president at CBRE. “The property’s size, location and aesthetic appeals meet a developer’s needs to accommodate Charlotte’s future growth and the site’s possible uses are unlimited.”

Due to its proximity to Charlotte, York County has established a substantial commuter work force with great accessibility by Interstate 77 and 85. The property is currently zoned as a Rural Development District (RUD) with access to well and septic utilities.

According to CBRE’s 2018 Southeast Real Estate Market Outlook, Charlotte has established itself as a thriving financial, energy and logistics center for the entire Southeast, making it a growth market highly sought after by residents and investors alike.
