Uwharrie Capital CEO Sees Slight Increase in Compensation

Uwharrie Capital Corp. Chief Executive Officer Roger Dick saw a 2.5 percent in increase in compensation for 2017, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Dick’s compensation for 2017 totaled at $446,000, an $11,000 increase from the previous year.

Dick’s salary, non-equity incentive plan compensation and non-qualified deferred compensation earnings stayed consistent from 2016.

Dick received a $10,000 increase in his bonus, rising to $40,000, and a slight $1,100 increase in other compensation, making up the difference in his two years’ earnings.

Brenden Duffey, the company’s chief risk officer and executive vice president, saw a slight decrease in compensation for 2017.

Duffey earned $393,000 in 2017 compared to $411,000 the previous year.

Duffey’s other compensation was the only area of compensation that saw a decline.

Uwharrie Capital Corp. is the holding company for Uwharrie Bank, which has eight banking offices and two loan production offices in Stanly County, Cabarrus County, Anson County and Mecklenburg County

The company’s annual meeting will be held May 8 at 6 p.m. at the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center in Albemarle.
