University City Wine Fest To Preview Second Annual Event

The Five-Star Rated Festival is Building Culture and Community in University City

WHO: The Wine Vault University City Wine Fest, presented by Greystar and University City Partners, is gearing up for its second annual event with a Festival Preview Night.

WHAT:University City Wine Fest invites interested attendees to preview its second annual wine festival. The preview event, hosted by a supporting Wine Fest sponsor Courtyard by Marriott Charlotte University Research Park, will provide an evening of wine sampling organized by The Wine Vault, live music from Ezra Root and sweet treats crafted by Nona's Sweets Bakery Cafe. Media are invited to attend to gain a sneak peek and experience the excitement for the return of this annual festival, now accessible by light rail. University City Wine Fest is the only outdoor spring festival of its kind in the region. Last year’s event, drew over 1,000 wine enthusiasts. Similar to last year, this year’s attendees will experience more than 100 old and new wines from over 25 wineries while they stroll the boardwalk, enjoy appetizers from area restaurants and experience live entertainment. New this year, is the beer garden. The event will not only convene the community through entertainment and culture, proceeds will benefit literacy programming for Charlotte Mecklenburg University City and Sugarcreek Libraries.
